Mr. Bloch began his professional career in 1958 with the Bloch Brothers Tobacco Company, Helme Products and General Cigar. Mr. Bloch works in partnership with Gregory F. Marquart in managing over 250 advisory accounts, consisting of individual, taxable, IRA and retirement portfolios.

Harold B. Burech is a Financial Advisor with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment Advisor with
Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. Mr. Burech serves as the head of
the trading department, including municipal, corporate and over-the-counter securities. He has been with
the firm since 1977 in an investment manager capacity.
Mr. Burech graduated from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH with a BA Economics and Political Science. Mr. Burech holds current Licenses Series 7, 24, 53, 55, 63 and 65.
For over thirty years, Pete Holloway has helped clients in their investments based on the needs and
goals, risk tolerances, and time frame of his clients. These clients’ needs have run the gamut from
college funding, to corporate and personal retirement plans, and wealth transfer. As a CERTIFIED
FINANCIAL PLANNER ®, he is equipped to help clients pull together areas beyond investments including
insurance, taxes, retirement and estate planning.
Both FINRA (the regulatory agency that oversees brokers and advisors) and the CFP® Board of Standards require continuing education. Beyond demonstrating the competency required to pass the tests, Pete is constantly educating himself in current trends as well as keeping a close eye on the economy from a micro and macro perspective. He has looked at the major economic events of the past century to examine their causes and to relate them to today’s events.
Pete started at Hazlett, Burt, and Watson June 1,1981 and has remained at the firm throughout his career. While he has received lucrative offers to move his business to other firms, he has remained at HBW because its relationship with National Financial Services gives it all the tools of the largest firms, yet its small size gives HBW the ability to be very agile.
He graduated with a BA cum laude from Kenyon College and Holds a Master’s degree from Bowling Green University (Ohio). Licenses help include FINRA Series 7, 66, and Life/Sickness and Health in Ohio and West Virginia as well as the CFP® designation.
Pete’s financial commentary has been published in the Wheeling Intelligencer, News Register, Martins Ferry Times Leader, Ohio Central, West Virginia Executive Magazine, and the West Virginia State Journal. He has been a financial commentator on radio stations WVLY, WOMP, and West Virginia Public Radio. Television appearances have been on WTRF, WTOV, and WLTV where he currently hosts a weekly show “On Money.”
Because giving back to the community is central to Pete, he serves on or has served on numerous boards including: The Children’s Home of Wheeling, Wheeling Rotary (past president), Oglebay Institute (past president), Elmhurst (past president), Victorian Wheeling Society, Big Brothers/Big sisters, Boy Scouts Finance Committee, and Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission (past president).
Bernadette is a Senior Vice President with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment Advisor with

In 1996 Bernadette M. Smith began her career as an Investment Consultant with Parker/Hunter, Inc. From June 1998 through August 2003 Bernadette was dually employed by Banc One Securities Corporation and Bank One Trust as an Investment Advisor. Bernadette earned her Baccalaureate degree in Business Management/Economics from Sweet Briar College. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Pittsburgh, PA.
Bernadette resides in Wheeling, WV, is married and has two children. She serves as President for the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley, Inc. and is a Commissioner for the Wheeling Housing Authority. Tom has been with Hazlett, Burt & Watson since 2008. He began his career in the financial services
industry in 2004 as a financial advisor with Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. Following a corporate merger,
he spent three (3) years in the same role with Citigroup/Smith Barney.
His formal education includes a B.S. degree in Business Administration, a Masters Degree (MBA) in Business Administration. Professional licenses include Series 7, 66 and Ohio Life & Health Insurance. These licenses require on-going and continuing professional education. Other professional designations include Accredited Asset Management Specialist.
Tom’s practice is based on Comprehensive Wealth Management. His clients – high-net worth individuals, business owners, professionals and their family members benefit from his belief that successful investing has, at its core, a solid asset allocation plan. The time-tested advantage to investors of portfolio diversification allows clients to reach their goals while navigating the ups and downs of financial markets.
Throughout Pié’s practice, his client interaction is actually client education. He believes in an easy-to-understand approach to all client meetings. He also believes in self-reliance and enjoys conversations with clients’ children and grandchildren about their financial future.
Pié understands the role of research in investment management. He utilizes multiple analysts and research firms as he monitors his clients’ portfolios. Greg Marquart provides independent, objective advice to his clients as it relates to their assets. Upon
a thorough review of each client’s unique financial position he prepares, implements and maintains
financial solutions that help his clients meet their long-term goals and objectives. He works with
individuals from all walks of life including high net worth individuals and business owners. Greg
encourages his clients to bring their attorney and accountant into their financial and estate planning
for comprehensive coverage of all their needs.
Greg joined Hazlett, Burt & Watson in 2004 after 20 years in the construction industry as Vice President and President of Marquart Inc. and now practices in partnership with Stuart Bloch.
Greg grew up in the Wheeling area, graduated from Wheeling Central High School in 1980 and from West Virginia University in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds FINRA licenses 7, 66 and WV Life/Sickness and Health.

Josh is a Vice President with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment Advisor with Security
Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. (10/2012-Present). Josh started his
career in 2001 with United Bank, where he gained valuable business-related experience as a Branch
Manager and Retail Loan Officer. In 2008, Josh joined United Brokerage Services as a financial advisor,
where he continued to expand upon his expertise in the areas of financial planning and investment
Josh believes that long-term client relationships have a foundation based on trust, integrity and excellent service. He further believes that proper investment and financial advice can only be given when the client’s goals, needs, and risk tolerance are understood. To achieve this, Josh completes a financial evaluation with every client that focuses on their short and long-term financial goals. He then recommends a strategy that is appropriate for these objectives.
Client education is an extremely important component of any long term financial relationship. Josh prides himself on helping clients understand their investments, as well as keeping them informed on economic conditions and situations that may affect their portfolios and goals.

Shawn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Financial Economics from Bethany College in West Virginia. While there, he was one of the founding students for the McCann Family Investment Club which teaches students how to properly invest real money for the college. His primary function was to analyze and choose stock for the energy sector of the overall portfolio.
Shawn began his career in the securities industry in 2009 as a Registered Representative with First Investors in Canonsburg, PA. At First Investors, he was able to erect his foundation and become licensed. He left there in the fall of 2009, and was invited in January 2010 to participate in a joint venture with the Scheeren Wealth Management Group at Wells Fargo Advisors in Wheeling. There, Shawn became a Financial Consultant, and he was able to further develop his skills in managing money, prospecting, and advising high net worth clientele. In April 2011, Shawn proudly joined Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc as a Financial Advisor. Shawn consistently prospects for new clientele and enjoys delivering his personalized approach of wealth management to his existing clients.

Thomas J. Morrison is an Associate Vice President with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment
Advisor with Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. (1996-present).
Mr. Morrison encourages his clients to work with him to complete a Financial Analysis review in order to
gain a more thorough understanding of their financial outlook. Having an understanding of each client’s
unique situation enables Mr. Morrison to align investment recommendations with their current assets and
objectives. Each client is unique, as are their risk tolerances, so each plan is designed to make
recommendations tailored to adjust portfolio compositions in response to current market activities, and
longer-term market trends. His practice emphasizes investment performance first. Achieving a high level
of tax efficiency is also a priority. Mr. Morrison further believes strong investor education leads to
peace of mind while striving to meet a client’s needs, and he believes in spending the appropriate level
of time with each client to help them gain a better understanding of the markets.
Mr. Morrison is a 1981 graduate of the Ohio University College of Business in Athens, OH with a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree. In addition to the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, Mr. Morrison holds an Ohio Department of Insurance Life, Health, Variable Life and Annuities Insurance License. Mr. Morrison also currently holds Non-resident West Virginia and Pennsylvania Insurance Licenses for Life, Sickness and Health, Variable and Fixed Annuities. All of these licenses require ongoing continuing education.
Mr. Morrison is very active outside of Hazlett, Burt and Watson, Inc. and Security Capital Management. He was the Project Manager and Grant Writer for the St. Clairsville Jr. Sports Softball Field Restoration Project. This project included designing the field restoration needs, applying for a matching grant, implementing the project budget, completing a final accounting and managing the completion of the work on this very successful project. Mr. Morrison is currently an assistant travel team softball coach for the Pittsburgh Lady Road Runners and has coached many softball teams for St. Clairsville Jr. Sports, the Wheeling, WV High School Summer and Fall leagues and another travel softball team from Canton.

Walker Holloway always knew he wanted to be a financial advisor. In 2011, after graduating from Rollins
College with a Bachelor’s in Economics, he joined the financial industry as an advisor with AXA Equitable
in Orlando Florida. Spending two years building a client base and mentoring under some of the top
producers in his firm, Walker was offered the opportunity to return to Wheeling and join his father at
Hazlett, Burt and Watson.
In 2013, Walker joined the firm he has been around his whole life. Since then, “Team Holloway” has rapidly added millions of dollars to their assets under management. Serving businesses and individuals at every stage of life across the country, Walker focuses on providing highly detailed service in the most cost efficient way.
Personal service is of the utmost importance to Walker. Each and every client is a unique situation and the Holloways make sure to customize each client’s plan and portfolio. Hazlett, Burt and Watson, being a totally independent firm, allows him/them to offer one of the broadest arrays of investments in the industry.
Walker holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, and 66 as well as his Life, accident and Health Insurance licenses. He is actively involved in the local community holding positions in the Wheeling Rotary (Vice President), St. John’s Home for Children Finance Board, ReInvent Wheeling Economic Restructuring Board and participated in Leadership Wheeling in 2014. Lew joined Hazlett, Burt & Watson (HBW) in June of 2009. He has served as a financial advisor and branch
office manager starting with Wheat, First Butcher & Singer in 1980 and most recently spent 10 years with
Merrill Lynch in the same capacity prior to joining HBW.
Lew is a lifelong resident of Parkersburg WV with two Children (Matt and Brad). Lew also served in the United States Air Force and is a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting.
Lew Currently holds the following licenses in the financial industry, Series 3 – Commodity Representative; Series 5 – Interest Rate Options; Series 7 – General Securities Representative; Series 8 – General Securities Supervisor; Series 63 – Uniform Securities State Representative; and Series 65 – Investment Advisor Representative. Ray began his professional career in 1975 as a Registered Representative with Parker Hunter, Parkersburg, WV. In 1986 Ray joined the professional staff of Legg Mason Wood Walker, where he achieved the designation of Assistant Vice President – Financial Consultant. Ray in 1996 joined Merrill Lynch, Parkersburg, WV, where he also carried the designation of Assistant Vice President – Financial Consultant. In 2003 Ray joined the team of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. as Vice President, and as an Investment Advisor with Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. Robert D. Fennell, Jr. is a Senior Vice President with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment
Advisor with Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. (1982-present).
Mr. Fennell began his professional career with the Guardian Life Insurance Company, Ohio National Life
and Western and Southern Life as an agent after receiving his Life and Health license in 1976.
Mr. Fennell was also employed with the Washington County Sheriffs’ Department of Ohio as a criminal
investigator from 1978-1979.
Mr. Fennell attended Ohio Northern University – History/Political Science and Philosophy, from 1971-1973 and Washington State Community College – Industrial Engineering, from 1975-1976.

Nancy began her career in the financial services industry with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. in 1978 and completed training at New York Institute of Finance in 1982. She worked at Hazlett until 1986 and then spent the next eighteen years with two major Wall Street Firms. She re-joined Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. in their Vienna office in 2004 as First Vice President.
Nancy’s focus is on advising clients how to preserve and manage wealth by developing a customized financial plan for each client. She believes it is important to utilize a personalized approach in solving the many financial planning concerns her clients face in their lifetime. These challenges include tax reduction planning, education planning, investment strategies, retirement and income planning, planning for wealth transfer and life insurance analysis.
Along with her husband, Mike, Nancy has been a resident of Vienna, WV for the past thirty years. She is committed to the community and participates in many charitable functions. She works hard and enjoys spending her leisure time with family and friends, traveling and golfing.
George set his financial career in motion in 1982 in the Lancaster Dean Witter Reynolds office where he
attained the level of Senior Vice President of Investments. In 1994, George joined Hazlett Burt &
Watson, Inc. and presently holds the position of Senior Executive Vice President. George is a member of
the board of directors of Hazlett, Burt and Watson Inc., sister company Security National Trust Company
(a single purpose, nationally chartered bank providing trust and investment management services) and the
parent company for these two businesses, HB&W Inc. George spends most of his day providing investment
counsel and managing portfolios under the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) division of Hazlett Burt
and Watson Inc. called Security Capital Management.
George obtained a BS Degree in Agriculture - Resource Management and graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University in 1979. In addition, George holds current FINRA Licenses Series 7, 9, 10, 63, 65, and PA Fixed Life/Variable Life/Annuities and has completed a Senior Account Executive program at the Wharton School.
George has been active with a number of nonprofit organizations in the Lancaster community including board of director positions with the Sertoma Club of Lancaster, St. Leo the Great School, and served a total of 12 years on the Board of Trustees at the YWCA of Lancaster finally serving as Chairman his last two years. He was honored with the Citizen of the Century Award in 2007. In addition, he has served on the Endowment Fund Committees for the YWCA of Lancaster, PA Dutch Council Boy Scouts of America and the Lancaster County Conservancy.
Jeanne is a Senior Vice President with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment Advisor with
Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. Jeanne M. Miller began her
career in 2000 as an Investment Consultant with J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons. While with J.J.B. Hilliard,
W.L. Lyons, Ms. Miller went thru a comprehensive program concerning the varied aspects of wealth
management to obtain her CWA® (Chartered Wealth Advisor) designation. In 2004 PNC Financial Services
acquired J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons where she was able to further develop her skills in managing
investments and advising high net worth individuals and families as a financial consultant with PNC
Jeanne specializes in comprehensive investment and retirement income strategies for individuals and businesses. Jeanne fundamentally believes in incorporating lower expense solutions and investments that reduce portfolio volatility when possible by utilizing multiple, non-correlating asset classes.
Jeanne recognizes that risks are present in many forms and should be discussed at the outset of a client relationship and revisited during client face to face meetings. These meetings are essential to verify the client’s goals and objectives, monitor portfolio performance, and allow for tactical adjustments to portfolios in light of current market conditions. A successful investment plan is one that assumes there will always be market fluctuations and Jeanne feels her job is to help her clients understand and overcome the emotional responses that often prevent them from making sound financial decisions.
Steve brings a broad overview from his prior experience in insurance, banking, and brokerages to serve his clients. Steve joined Hazlett, Burt, & Watson, Inc., and its subsidiary Security Capital Management in 2001, and is currently a Vice President.
Steve graduated from Millersville University after serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga (CV-60). He holds Series 6, 7, 63, 65 and PA Life and Fixed Annuities/Accident and Health/Variable Life/Variable Annuity Licenses. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). These licenses and designation require continuing professional education.
Steve uses his experience and knowledge to design an individualized plan appropriate for his clients’ goals, and to guide them in maintaining an appropriate asset allocation through varying market conditions. The use of lower expense solutions, where applicable, with appropriate non-correlating investments, is preferred to reduce both portfolio volatility and expense.
Steve believes his clients’ portfolios should be reviewed on a regular basis to assure that the allocations still align with changing needs. He feels an educated investor is a better investor. Therefore, he strives to guide his clients in understanding market fluctuations, changing economic conditions, and to maintain focus on long-term goals.
Steve is a former Council member for Royalton Borough, in Royalton, PA. He serves on the Fire and Electric Committees, and was Chairperson of the Budget and Finance Committee. He also was a delegate to the Dauphin County Tax Collection Committee.
In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
Mr. Johns specializes in the management of personal and institutional investment accounts for
individuals, business retirement plans and non-profit portfolios. His goal is to combine the education
and expertise of Wall Street with the accountability and trust of Main Street to provide his clients
with the best possible investment and financial planning experience.
Mr. Johns is a Vice President / Financial Advisor with Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. and an Investment Advisor with Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. He began his business career with the Campbell Soup Company in 1983 as a member of the firms’ executive management training program. He ultimately advanced to the position of Director of Operations, Campbell Dry Soup International Division, Camden, NJ. Mr. Johns began his career in personal financial services with Legg Mason / Smith Barney in 2001. At Legg Mason / Smith Barney he served as Second Vice President, Wealth Management and was awarded the Blue Chip Award for excellence in client service. Mr. Johns joined Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. in the Lancaster, PA office in 2010.
Mr. Johns graduated from Boston College, Boston, MA / Clark University, Worcester, MA in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Government. While at Clark University he was a Resident Director, a member of the varsity crew team and a participant in the Harvard Consortium of Colleges and Universities. Mr. Johns holds the following professional licenses: Series 6, 7, 31, 66 and PA Life / Fixed Annuities / Variable Life / Variable Annuities.
